How to get Wi-Fi Calling
on your iPhone.

Wi-Fi Calling on Three is all about super-charging your signal. So you can call and text whenever you’re connected to Wi-Fi in the UK and stay connected wherever you go*.

Getting connected.

You might already have Wi-Fi Calling on your iPhone.

If you have an iPhone 5s or later model, Wi-Fi Calling will be available on your phone. Follow the steps below and you’ll be able to make and receive calls and texts when you have no mobile signal but are connected to Wi-Fi.

1. Check if you have the latest software

If you have iOS 11.2 or later you don’t need to do anything; Wi-Fi Calling will just work when you need it. You’ll be charged in the same way as normal, so your usage will come out of your monthly allowance, or you'll be charged at the same rate as you usually would be for using our network.

2. Don’t worry if you don’t have iOS 11.2 yet. Wi-Fi Calling will work on iOS 10.3 or later**.

You can find out which version of iOS you have by going into Settings, then General. Select Update software. If you don’t have the latest software, tap Download and Install. If you are having problems, we can help you to update your software.

3. Activate Wi-Fi Calling in your settings.

To switch on Wi-Fi Calling, all you need to do is change your settings.

  1. Go into Settings
  2. Go to Data (if you’re still running iOS 10.3.x go to Phone)
  3. Select Wi-Fi Calling
  4. Switch it to On
