Pay Monthly Roaming charges

If your current plan started before 1 October 2021, calls and texts to the UK are included in your allowance. If you have a data allowance greater than 12GB, you can use up to this amount of data each month, which will simply come out of your allowance. Data use above this may be blocked for roaming until your next billing period.

If you joined Three or upgraded on or after 1 October 2021, you'll need to pay a daily charge of £5 to unlock your UK allowance in New Zealand. This daily charge will be waived until 23 May 2022.* Fair use limits apply.

If you've gone over your allowance in a Go Roam Around the World destination, you'll pay special lower roaming rates, letting you use your phone abroad, or you can buy an Add-on in My3.

Pay As You Go Roaming charges

Calls and texts to the UK and using data in Go Roam destinations are included in your allowance.

New Zealand is a Go Roam Around the World destination, so you won't be charged for using up to 12GB of data – it'll simply come out of your credit or Add-on allowance. Data use above this may be blocked for roaming until the next month.

If you've gone over your allowance in a Go Roam destination, you'll pay special lower roaming rates, letting you use your phone abroad at no extra cost, or you can buy an Add-on in My3.

*The charge will be applied as soon as there is a 'chargeable event' on your plan. This includes making an outbound call, sending a text, and accessing data services. Republic of Ireland and Isle of Man are excluded from the daily charge. Our fair use policies apply in Go Roam destinations.

†Calls to international special numbers aren't covered by your monthly allowance of voice minutes and are charged at £2.75 per minute. These include calls to international premium rate and some international personal numbers. We'll do our best to send you a text message when you connect to any of these numbers. Go Roam rates apply to calls and messages to standard UK landline or mobile numbers, to calls and texts made to standard landline and mobile numbers between Go Roam in Europe destinations and using data outside of allowance. If you go over our Fair Use data allowance you'll be subject to a surcharge.
